Artist Sarah Schrimpf was born in Schwäbisch Hall, Germany.

Currently, she lives and works in Lodz but often travels abroad for her various projects.

In 2012, after some experiences in theatre, Sarah enrolled in the photography department of the Munich Academy of Fine Arts. In 2018 she was appointed to ‘Meisterschüler’ in the class of Prof. Dieter Rehm.

To further hone her artistic skills, she studied photography at the "Louis-Lumière" film, photography and sound school in Paris, where she also received a solid training in filmmaking.

Afterwards, she experimented with all forms of graphic arts during a one-year residency at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, Poland, and further supplemented her formal education with a stay at the ESADMM in Marseille, where she also made her first steps in design.

For the academic year 2018/19 she is studying in the cinematography department
at the National Filmschool in Lodz, Poland.
